POSITION SUMMARY

The Education Coordinator delivers exceptional customer service experience and works collaboratively with Continuing Education Program Manager and other staff within AH'S client, WOCN, the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society. The Education Coordinator is responsible for execution of day-to-day operations of the online continuing education programs and management of the publications.

WOCN Society Mission

The WOCN Society is a professional community dedicated to advancing the practice and delivery of expert healthcare to individuals with wound, ostomy, and continence care needs. We support our members’ practice through advocacy, education, and research.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to Continuing Education Program Manager
  • Works with clinical editor and designated volunteers to support content validation and peer review process for clinical documents, as needed
  • Works with clinical editor and creative team on editing, designing, production and delivery of clinical documents
  • Works with JWOCN publisher to ensure accurate front matter content
  • Manages all publications (via online bookstore and in member library)
  • Tracks publication sales and provides monthly reports to staff and Board
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the Policy and Procedures Manual
  • Responsible for quality control of all WOCN-related content, i.e. conference program, presentations, etc.
  • Works with designated committees and task forces, as needed
  • Supports Chief Staff Executive and Chief Operations Officer in development of 2nd edition of core curriculum books
  • Supports the task force and clinical editor in updates to Professional Practice Manual
  • Supports Continuing Education Program Manager in day-to-day operations of education programs, including:
  • Check and credit card processing
  • Creation of invoices and receipts, when requested
  • Creation of Certificates of Completion, when requested
  • Log-in/registration assistance for online Continuing Education Center (CEC)
  • Monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Respond to inquiries from current and prospect course facilitators and participants
  • Provides support to learners with navigating the online CEC platform, as needed

  •  Successfully meets deadlines
  •  Proactively alerts Supervisors to challenges or concerns related to delivery of service
  •  Proactively suggests solutions to challenges encountered
  •  Effectively self-reviews work product and produced limited errors
  •  Pays attention to detail related to management of relevant databases

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/REQUIRED PROFICIENCIES

Bachelors degree preferred, high school diploma required.
