The Administrator performs a variety of tasks to provide administrative and operational support to AH's client WOCN, the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses SocietyThe Administrative Assistant reports to Assistant Chief Operations Officer (COO) and provides administrative support to members, prospects, Board of Directors and staff. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience, executing assigned projects and performing assigned duties.      

WOCN Society Mission

The WOCN Society is a professional community dedicated to advancing the practice and delivery of expert healthcare to individuals with wound, ostomy, and continence care needs. We support our members’ practice through advocacy, education, and research.


  • Reports to Assistant Chief Operations Officer (COO) and provides administrative support to the Board of Directors and staff, as needed
  • Provides administrative support to the Scholarship program, as needed
  • Schedules meetings and conference calls
  • Processes daily check log according to internal accounting processes
  • Processes expense payments according to internal accounting processes
  • Monitors inventory of office supplies (including letterhead) and re-orders, as needed
  • Processes monthly membership invoices, mailings and emails
  • Processes membership requests, refunds, and corrections
  • Prepares and distributes birthday campaigns
  • Serves as liaison between WOCN and JWOCN publisher (Wolters Kluwer) on matters related to journal subscriptions and billing
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing member and prospect inquiries
  • Support the Assistant Chief Operations Officer (COO) in preparation and dissemination of materials for monthly Board calls, including:
  • Tracking of quarterly reports from committee/task force chairs and consultants (invited guests)
  • Compiles agenda book according to established procedure
  • Communicates with WOCN Secretary and invited guests in preparation for Board calls
  • Maintain online Board Resource Center
  • Manage the transition out of Nurse Referral program
  • Assists meeting staff with processing speaker honoraria (including vendor set up process)

Bachelors degree preferred, high school diploma required.
